WEATHERHEAD ON A WINNING STREAK! Students Rise to the Challenge MUSIC TO THE EARS Four Year 9 students beat over 14,500 students in the Ventura Design Museum Challenge, winning a competition to design a new product for the Design Museum shop in London. Sanjita Aktar, Emma Baldwin-Quirk, Libby Evans and Shiann Smith designed an ingenious poly-propylene reusable flower pot. The girls were one of ten shortlisted teams, invited to pitch their idea to a panel of expert judges in London and attended the celebration event with Mrs Pearson. Talented Year 13 musician, Marco Cavaluzzi, entered the prestigious Southport Music Festival ERH GEQI ½VWX in the Pianoforte Solo Category with his performance of Prelude in C minor by Chopin. Marco was awarded the highest mark across the competition and was delighted to perform at the winners’ celebration concert.
