Design and Technology is a fun and exciting course that allows you to design new solutions to a wide range of real life problems using a variety of different materials.
GCSE Design and Technology students will gain knowledge and skills to help them use their creativity and problem solving skills to create new and exciting products. Across the two years you will study the theory topics of Core Technical Principles, Specialist Technical Principles and Designing and Making Principles The course is taught through a combination of theory lessons and practical lessons In Year 10 you will complete practical projects using woods, metals and polymers In Year 11 you will complete a ‘design and make’ project called an NEA.
