Physical Education (PE) YEAR 9: At the end of Year 9, pupils will continue to have 2 lessons a week. Within one of these lessons pupils have the opportunity to choose a sport pathway that is suited to their individual needs. The module choices and sport pathways are personalised and individual, with the key being choice. Examples include competitive games, health and fitness, recreational play and individual performance. YEAR 10: In Year 10 pupils extend their skills and application in Netball, Trampolining, Rounders, Badminton, Football, Hockey, Baseball, Basketball, Fitness and Team Building. They start to take on further roles such as umpires, coaches and officials and also study outdoor adventures and adventurous activities. YEAR 11: In Year 11 students extend their knowledge and understanding within badminton, rounders, table tennis*, OAA. They undergo a fitness module whereby they plan their own training programme to improve their fitness for a particular activity. Year 11 are also introduced to a module of yoga which is taken by a qualified teacher and have the option to participate in Sports Leadership Level 1 Award, which is a recognised qualification were students develop their Leadership skills and behaviour.
