Horse’s age
The Parade of Champions pays tribute to the equine stars of the past and present, with today’s line-up having won countless Graded contests between them. Join us at the Parade Ring to pay tribute to these horses and salute their achievements on the racecourse. The following horses will partake in today’s Parade of Champions, which starts at 12.20pm. CONSTITUTION HILL
A real Sandown Park specialist. Constitution Hill won twice at Sandown Park before going onto win the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham. We first got to see Constitution Hill under rules at Sandown Park back in December where he dispatched the promising novice Might I in fantastic style. The Tolworth Hurdle awaited him, and he was sent off the warm 2/5 favourite. The ground was very testing that day, but Constitution Hill went through it like it was nothing and won by an emphatic 12 lengths. He’s certainly one to look forward to next season.
KNIGHT SALUTE
Milton Harris has seen a real resurgence this season and that is in no small part down to this superstar. Bought over from Andrew Balding, Knight Salute took to hurdling like a duck to water and quickly made it five from five. Paddy Brennan has built up a fantastic relationship over the season and despite finishing down the field at Cheltenham, he won Grade One glory at Aintree. In what was a cracking finish with Pied Piper.
