THE JOCKEY CLUB

WELCOMES YOU

A warm welcome back to the Rowley Mile for day one of our Season Finale at Newmarket.

I would like to start by thanking all those that have joined us throughout our 2022 flat season, from racegoers to participants and of course our generous sponsors. Looking back, it has been a great season at both the Rowley Mile and the July Course. The QIPCO Guineas Festival saw James Doyle complete a historic double, becoming only the fifth jockey to win both the QIPCO 2000 Guineas and QIPCO 1000 Guineas in the same year. His win on Coroebus started a trend that continued throughout the season with domination from Charlie Appleby and Godolphin running across both the Rowley Mile and the July Course. The July Course saw the return of our brilliant Newmarket Nights series, where we welcomed thousands of racegoers across seven Fridays, culminating in the sold out Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics in August. The Möet & Chandon July Festival saw some fantastic racing action including jockey Rob Hornby’s first Group One double in the Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes and the Darley July Cup. Since we reverted back to the Rowley Mile for Gold Season, we have seen more excellent victories, none more so than Chaldean in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes. He has laid himself out as a leading contender when we return to the Rowley Mile for the 2023 QIPCO Guineas Festival. While you enjoy the end of this year’s season you might want to explore our 2023 annual badge packages which are now on sale, offering access to all fixtures and events at both the Rowley Mile and the July Course as well as exclusive perks. Find out more online at www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/newmarket or at our information point in the Grandstand. I wish all our guests a very enjoyable afternoon and the very best of luck to all the horses and their connections.

Best wishes,

SOPHIE ABLE
