‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.
How the experts rate the horse’s chances:
2. BHA rating = the higher the number, the better the horse.
3. Timeform view and TFR rating

2.05pm-Adecent and competitive handicapto startthe card.Atthetop ofthe weights, we have a couple of well-known hurdlers in the shape of Metier and Tritonic, a little bit further down the weights we have two progressive 4yo’s in Kamboo and Who’s Glen. Kamboo got the better of Who’s Glen at Newcastle last August over 1m 41/2f, but Who’s Glen was always going to improve for a trip, as he showed when hacking up next time at Chester (1m 61/2f). With the more progressive profile and a further step up in distance here. Who’s Glen is the clear form pick for the inform Balding yard
2.40pm - Andrew Balding has three clear form chances here in the shape of Lieber Power, Mount Atlas and Teumessias Fox. The answer here however could be the bottom weight Calumet, Marco Botti has his runners running really well at present. A lightly raced sort who is currently rated 90 is open to any amount of improvement and looks a solid each way bet. This is a Virgin Bet extra place race, currently paying 1/5 4 places.
3.15pm - The warm favourite here is Soprano who showed progressive form last season with handicap success at Royal Ascot followed by a Group 3 win later on at Deauville. By the time she reached the Breeders Cup, a long season had probably taken its toll, as she finished towards the back. Shuwari on the other hand was off all of last season due to injury, she had previously been high on the list for the 2024 1000 Guineas. The Ollie Sangster yard is improving season on season and Shuwari is taken here to further enhance her trainers excellent start to 2025.
3.50pm - An open looking Conditions Stakes with the majority of the field very lightly raced. The most experienced runner in the field and the likely favourite is the Ollie Sangster trained Ellaria Sand who finished off last season with Listed success in soft ground at Newbury This field is most likely to contain a fare level of ability and the runners to be interested here are Qarlyga (Varian) and Rhapsody (Haggas), both of whom should be available at decent prices.
4.25pm - Cavallo Bay represents strong connections and is likely going to be a popular selection with punters His last run was an allowance race on the Breeders Cup card at Del Mar where he finished 3rd. He has since been gelded and is one for the shortlist. Hawsksbill finished 6th in the Royal Rodge at Newmarket last year, he would need improvement to win but has his chances for Hugo Palmer and Oisin Murphy. Local Lad is still a maiden after 3 runs but the Irish raider has been running against some good types and is worth a market check.
5.00pm - Walbank returns to British racing after a winter spell in Bahrain. He mayhave atoughasktowinoffa mark of91,however.Amazonian Dream isa course and distance winner but has the tendency of not breaking well from the start. Change Sings won here off a mark of 84 He ran below-par at Goodwood last June but could be worth siding with on seasonal reappearance. He can make the pace here if needed.
5.35pm - Arqoob ran well here last time out when narrowly finishing 2nd. If he breaks better today, he may be able to defy top weight. Java Raja was a comfortable winner of a maiden race at Wolverhampton. A mark of 83 looks fair and adds the first time blinkers and tongue tie today. Billiegee is worth a market check on her season reappearance. She has previously run well on the all weather and usually runs well fresh.

KAMBOO: Following its run on 11/10/2024 it was reported that the horse was never travelling.
Probable S.P’s: 11-2 Kamboo (IRE), Alrazeen (IRE), 6-1 Who’s Glen (FR), Cool Party (GB), 13-2 Jabbar (IRE), 9-1 Metier (IRE), Tritonic (GB), 10-1 Golden Rules (GB), 28-1 Youthful King (GB)
KAMBOO has proved himself most effective on the AW and is very interesting tackling 2m for the first. He can bounce back from a couple of disappointing efforts on the turf to take this on reappearance following wind surgery Cool Party is feasibly treated and merits plenty of respect having shapedwith promise lasttime, while recent hat-trick scorerAlrazeen maywell bounce backto form. The long absent Golden Rules is an intriguing contender and one to note in the betting.

Having placed twice in Group 1 company last year, SOPRANO looks to hold leading claims as she drops back down in grade and trip for her reappearance. The biggest threat to George Boughey’s filly could come from Shuwari, who was runner-up at the highest level when last seen 17 months ago, with Rose Prick completing the shortlist.
