Look out for Letters:
C = Has won at this course
D = Has won over this distance
CD = Has won over this distance at this course
BF = Was a beaten favourite
MORE INFORMATION ON THE FORM
- = New racing season
/ = Missed racing season
P = Was pulled-up and didn’t finish the race
F = Horse fell
U = Rider unseated
R = Horse refused to race
CO = The horse was forced out of a race by a loose horse
B = Horse was brought down
S = Horse slipped
r = The horse ran around a jump or took the wrong course in a flat race
d = Disqualified
Bold form
figures = performance in allweather (Flat) or Pointto-Point (Jump) races
How the experts rate the horse’s chances:
2. BHA rating = the higher the number, the better the horse.
3. Timeform view and TFR rating
Look out for the summary of leading course trainers before each race
Listen out for any jockeys who are having a successful day.
6. Owner’s colours worn by the Jockey
7. Saddlecloth number
8. Horse’s name
9. Days since the horse last run
10. Horse’s age
11. Jockey’s weight (stone and Ibs)
12. The horse’s breeding – father (sire) and mother (dam)
13. Horse’s owner
14. Horse’s breeder
15. Birthplace of horse (outside GB)
Select your horse. Note their name and saddlecloth number
Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.
‘To win’ is for your horse to come first.
‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.
Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.
Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.
Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.

It is an absolute pleasure to be sponsoringtheBudds&Weatherbys Horseracing Memorabilia Mares’ Handicap Chase at Kempton this afternoon, a Class 3 event staged over an extended two-and-a-half miles with a competitive field of six settogotopost.
Lastyear’sequivalentracewaswon by Ilovethenightlifewhoreturnsfor JoeTizzardandarrivesonthesame mark as 12 months ago. The Walk In The Park seven-year-old didn’t quite match that form for the rest of the campaign however, and makes her reappearance here having undergone wind surgery over the summer after unseating at Cheltenham on her final start. The stable is starting to hit good form though and she is the sole course anddistancewinnersettolineupin thisfield.
Georgi Girl did win here at the track over hurdles last February and the six-year-old is a mare who goes exceptionally well when fresh. Philip Hobbs and Johnson White’s daughterofGetawayhasyettowin in four starts over fences but her third in Listed company at Exeter last term reads strongly and she benefits from a sliding mark for an in-formstable.
Progressive hurdler She Is For Me
Boys is an extremely interesting chasedebutanteforGavinSheehan andJamieSnowden,havingscored incredibly impressively in a pair of
novice hurdles at Fontwell when last seen in the Spring. The Clovis du Berlais six-year-old is an Irish pointwinnerandmakesherchasing and handicap debutant from a potentially lenient opening mark of 104.
SheIsForMeBoysisanextremely interesting chase debutante
The other chasing debutante in the field is Warren Greatrex’s Shantwopointfive, who won twice over hurdles last year and finished runner-up a further twice. The consistent seven-year-old ran out a ready winner at Cartmel to close the campaign and, despite the 7lb rise in the weights, this Irish point winner can go on improving now sentchasing.
Popova heads the weights here on stabledebutforMichaelHawker,the eight-year-old formerly in the care ofHenrydeBromheadinIreland.She scoredimpressivelybyeightlengths on chasing debut at Tipperary last July and, on the back of two placed efforts over hurdles to close the last campaign, is sent back over fences by her new trainer. Evan Williams’ It’sEasy sneaks in at the bottom of theweightsandhasdroppedtojust 1lbaboveherlastwinningmark,that victory coming when an impressive winner over this trip at Leicester in February.
