IMPORTANT INFOMATION

Horse Welfare

At all of our race meetings there are three equine veterinary surgeons on duty. They are equipped and positioned to give immediate care should it be required. This may involve screens being erected around a horse which provides privacy for a vet to make an assessment.

Betting Ring Manager

The Betting Ring Manager is located in the Tattersalls Enclosure. He will be available in each enclosure to assist in any betting dispute.

Weights, Pedigrees, Trainers’ Names, Descriptions, Performances and Values of races included within this racecard have been added for the convenience of the Public, but are not guaranteed as correct.

Dress Code

The Racecourse requires that gentleman wear suit jackets and trousers (not jeans or tracksuits) with a collared shirt (not a t-shirt) and tie in the County Stand on all raceday. Trainers are not permitted. Ladies should not wear jeans or tracksuits. These standard of dress also apply for patron in all hospitality and restaurant areas.

Lost Children

Lost children enquiries should be made at the Box Office in reception.

Enhanced Disabled Viewing Areas

Enhanced Disabled viewing areas are provided in the following areas:

Parade ring, Dee Enclosure, Paddock, County Stand, Tattersalls. A disabled reception kiosk is positioned in the Holiday Inn Express car park and is there to give help, advice and assistance to disabled racegoers and their carers. All enclosures have disabled toilets.

No Smoking Areas

Chester Racecourse is a No Smoking area. You will still be permitted to smoke in all outside areas, including balconies. Smoking is now prohibited in any enclosed area, bar or restaurant, seats within the County Stand, the terraced steps within the Tattersalls Enclosure and the Subway. Ashtrays have been provided all over the course and we ask that you make use of them to keep Chester Racecourse a clean and tidy area.

Dogs

No dogs are allowed anywhere on the racecourse (except aid dogs).
