Despite being held up early on, Cleveland was travelling very well, and really began to push on inside the final three furlongs. Moore switched his mount to the right, taking the lead inside the final furlong staying on well to take the win from Coltrane. Andrew Balding’s gelding fought hard but was just held and took home second with the prominent Rajinsky taking third after a fine ride from Harry Davies. Falcon Eight found himself outpaced this year and was unable to make an impression on the finish, only managing fifth.
