CITY SELECTIONS RIVER CHORUS performed creditably over this trip at Wolverhampton last week, particularly as she lost her right fore shoe, and Phil McEntee’s filly looks to have a solid chance lining up off the same mark. Trepidation hasn’t been beaten too far over 1m the last twice and he merits consideration now cutting back in distance, while Arlo’s Sunshine and Vino Santo are others to watch out for.

PLAY SMARTER A competitive low-grade affair and with that in mind it may pay to take a chance on SHADOW ANGEL. She had underfoot conditions as a possible excuse when well beaten at Windsor in August but her best effort previously came when third over this C&D and she could well bounce back. Trepidation and River Chorus are a couple of others to consider.
