10.30am – Gates Open Take time to explore the racecourse and soak up the unique atmosphere of the day. This is the perfect time to pick up a coffee, read the racecard or browse the collections in the Ascot shops which can be found in all enclosures. If you have any questions throughout the day, please ask one of our Stewards who will be delighted to help.
2.00pm - The Royal Procession The clock strikes two and the Royal Procession arrives along the famous Straight Mile. It’s a short but spectacular journey and one that since 1825 has signalled the start of the Royal Meeting.
2.30pm – First Race With prize money of £8.65million, Royal Ascot will once again be blessed with an outstanding cast of the world’s finest racehorses. Each day features seven races, with today’s opener the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes, run over Ascot’s famous Straight Mile.
4.20pm – Feature Race A parade of runners will take place in front of the Grandstand before today’s feature race, The St James’s Palace Stakes. This Group 1 contest for three-year-old colts over a mile brings together the very best of the Classic generation and is not to be missed.
6.10pm – Last Race The final race today is the Copper Horse Stakes, a competitive handicap run over one mile, six furlongs.
After Racing Entertainment Royal Enclosure and Queen Anne Enclosure racegoers are invited to join the much-loved tradition of communal singing around the iconic Ascot Bandstand between 6.20pm and 7.00pm. Scan here for songbook.
Windsor Enclosure racegoers can enjoy live music after racing from 6.15pm to 7.15pm.
