We believe that overseas travel is one of the most empowering, life-altering forms of learning possible.
We’re passionate about what we do and have dedicated ourselves to the pursuit of creating unique school trips that educate, enrich and inspire the next generation.
For over 35 years, we’ve enabled transformative travel experiences right around the world. These experiences complement school learning, giving students the opportunity to become true life-learners and true global citizens. It’s the kind of learning that you will carry with you long into the future, learning that can only come from experiencing this amazing planet and the unique cultures that inhabit it.
You’ll have the opportunity to write your own stories, make your own mistakes, live your own adventures, learn and grow with peers, see the world with open eyes that are focused towards those around you.
We offer much more than a trip overseas. That said, it all begins with saying yes to adventure, yes to ignoring comfort zones, yes to embracing the unknown. A world of possibility awaits.
If there’s any further questions after reading the information provided we’d love to catch up via our scheduled online call. Date and time can be found on your trip landing page.
Your Expedition has been refined over 35 years of student travel, with an emphasis on developing tomorrow's leaders.
Students experience a range of challenges, from venturing into barren landscapes, boldly tackling treks and, at times, handling budgets and shopping for supplies.
During the Expedition students will also get the chance to positively contribute towards inspiring and ethical community-led initiatives that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
With a focus on leadership, resilience, well-being, teamwork and responsible travel, students will walk away from this experience with an enriched view of self and a new found confidence to take on the world.

We base our sustainable travel initiatives upon the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
We care about the PLANET
• We measure, reduce and mitigate all of our emissions, and plant five trees for every passenger who travels with us.
• We’ve eliminated single-use plastics from our operations and provide advice to travellers about how they can do the same
• Activities which involve interactions with animals on our trips are pre-approved against our animal welfare policy, putting their safety and wellbeing first
We care about the GLOBAL COMMUNITY
• Our community initiatives are carefully selected to be appropriate for young people, with a focus on fostering global values and upholding a high standard of ethics
• We don’t visit orphanages and where we do interact with young people in our destinations we abide by a detailed child welfare policy
The Sustainable Development Goals are a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 for the year 2030

In a post COVID-19 world, safety has become more important than ever. Over the past few years alone we’ve invested more than £550,000 into the best safety and risk management systems available in the sector. Whilst you are on your trip, we have a dedicated team manning our operation centres in both hemispheres around the world.
Our technologies integrate real time government and private security advice which informs all our plans.
We’ve built a unique auditing system to monitor the safety and professionalism of all of our in-country partners; it’s used to continually screen all pre-booked transport, accommodation and activities.
We’re dedicated to the pursuit of safety and risk management above all else.
Students will gain a greater understanding of how to act for a more sustainable future, at both local and global levels.
Students will be immersed in different cultures and experiences, growing to understand their role within our global community.
Students will be empowered to build on their self-care strategies, enhancing their physical and mental wellbeing.
Students will be challenged to think critically about topical issues that affect our past, present and future around the world.
Students will build a deeper connection to their own identity & personal values, developing their independence and sense of self.
Students will experience and reflect on the power of being pushed outside of their comfort zone, allowing the development of initiative, confidence, and resilience.
We find that students who do decide to earn their fee reap the rewards in other areas; it’s a fantastic opportunity to build upon some invaluable life-skills, from budgeting and entrepreneurship to creativity and teamwork. Trust us, when you’re watching the sun set on another epic trip day, it makes it all feel worth it and you can take pride in the knowledge that you got yourself there!
Your earning it journey begins well before you sling your backpack on and we recommend you optimise this time. Make the most of every opportunity and formulate a plan that breaks it down into small, regular manageable chunks. It’s not a race, it’s a marathon. You’re unlikely to earn your fee in one big blow-out last ditch attempt. The success stories we see are students that are savvy and business-minded from the outset.

OVER 150,000 STUDENTS HAVE DONE THIS AND SO CAN YOU
We’ll provide group equipment like tents, comprehensive medical kits and safety equipment. You will need to provide your own personal kit such as sleeping bag, boots and clothes. We have partnerships with outdoor stores to give you advice and discounts.
Not in 5 star hotels! Accommodation could be a tent, hostel, hammock or a local homestay. Embrace the experience. WHERE WILL I
Thousands of Challengers do this every year and we’ll share their inspired guides on how to earn it. From part-time jobs like babysitting and car washing to cake sales, curry nights and Christmas cards. Find out more in our student resource pack and meet some of our real-life entrepreneurs.
We have an online program to help prepare you for your trip, as well as arming you with skills you’ll need in the future. We’ll get you working as a team and at your Training Day you’ll be taking your trip preparation to the next level trip.
You don’t need to be an Olympian, but yes, it can be tough. Get yourself fit so you can enjoy it even more. Some treks are self-sufficient so teams may need to carry their own backpack and kit.
Now is your chance to try local cuisine as well as learn to cook for yourself. Most trips will have opportunities to try some self-catering as well as local restaurants. You will purify all your water to make sure it is safe to drink – we will provide you with purification tablets to do this.
Expect planes, trains, taxis, boats and buses with endless opportunities to engage with the locals and soak up the scenery.
Every team is accompanied by an experienced and qualified World Challenge Leader as well as at least one teacher from their school.
