TERMS OF BUSINESS

SCHOOLS FACILITATING TRIPS BOOKED DIRECTLY BY STUDENTS

Services we provide to the school

Although the contract to arrange delivery of travel arrangements is between us and participants, we still provide the school with services in relation to the trip. These services are limited to:

1. Trip advisory services, including:

i. Itinerary planning and consultations

ii. fielding queries and questions relating to the trip from parents and students on behalf of the school

iii. providing risk management information in order to get the trip ‘signed-off/endorsed’ by school SMT/local authorities

iv. providing some preparatory training to help travelling teachers fulfil their role on the trip

v. keeping key contacts at the school informed and involved in any on-trip incidents, whilst maintaining responsibility for communicating with parents directly

2. Provision of travel arrangements for school leaders (see below)

Your obligations to us

In consideration for us providing the advisory services you agree to:

a. use reasonable endeavours to promote the trip to participants and to facilitate bookings by participants;

b. procure that school representatives (in the number specified by us in our booking request confirmation) attend the trip to be primarily responsible for the welfare and conduct of participants in accordance with the responsibilities set out in the School Leader Policy (here); and

c. provide to us such other assistance and information as we may reasonably require to arrange the delivery of the travel arrangements forming the trip.

Our liability to you

To the fullest extent permitted by law our maximum liability to the school for the provision of the advisory services and in connection with the trip generally whether under these Terms of Business, in tort (including negligence) or at law is limited to resupplying the advisory services or paying to have them resupplied.

Cancellations & amendments

As the contract for delivery of travel arrangements is with an individual participant, any notice of cancellation or amendment requests must be given by the individual participant, or the school must be authorised by the participant to give such notice. Participants are subject to our booking terms and conditions (here). Cancellation and amendment charges are payable by participants under these terms and conditions.

School leader travel arrangements

The school acknowledges and agrees that the funding of school representatives to attend the trip will be determined in accordance with the School Leader Policy (here).

Our liability to the school and any school leader who participates on a trip is limited in the manner set out in the participant booking conditions. The school must ensure that all school leaders are made aware of the existence of the participant booking conditions and that they are subject to them.
