BECK VENTURE CENTER: LAUNCHING BIG IDEAS
FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
Take your Mines legacy to the next level by naming a space in the Beck Venture Center, where Oredigger ideas become tomorrow’s next big innovations.
“The Beck Venture Center is where the ideas meet the real world,” explains Mike Beck, who, with his wife, Kelly, is the lead donor for the center and a parent of two Mines graduates. Part of the bold new entrepreneurship and innovation (E&I) ecosystem at Mines, the 31,000-square-foot Beck Venture Center and its associated programming gives students as well as alumni and Mines-connected entrepreneurs, mentors and investors opportunities to learn, network, and launch. Through the Venture Center, innovators can jumpstart businesses and turn breakthrough ideas into commercial successes.
The center features coworking, collaboration and meeting spaces, plus a classroom, a pitch deck, and a place to eat and network over coffee. It also hosts skill-building and networking events that enrich the Mines E&I Ecosystem and is home to the Mines Venture
Fund 1 office. Companies, accelerator programs and other partners that are working with Mines—or want to—can connect with faculty, students and startup teams to advance exciting innovations in energy, computing, manufacturing, health, infrastructure, communications, and other topics important to industry and society.
Your gift will help make this and so much more possible. By investing in a Beck Venture Center area, you are not just putting a name on a space. You are contributing to future business leaders who will create tomorrow’s startups and to technical skills and the imaginations of some of the world’s most innovative students, faculty and researchers. You are also investing in Mines’ reputation as a place where ideas come to life.
