Potter
The restoration and rehabilitation of the historic Potter County Courthouse included a complete analysis of the existing building structure to confirm loading limitations and identify portions of the structure which required strengthening to meet new program requirements. The structural modifications included strengthening for increased loading from change of occupancy and heavier equipment installation of new elevator shafts, new egress stairs and support for replacement of all MEP building systems. Since original Construction documents were not available for the seven-story structure, a testing program was developed and implemented to determine the composition of existing structural elements to allow development of all structural modifications.
