Fire Stations FIRE STATION NO. 1 AND ADMINISTRATION BUILDING City of Richardson | Richardson, Texas Included in the ten-acre Public Safety Complex, Fire Station No. 1 includes six apparatus bays and a second floor dedicated to administration. The 28,100 SF fire station is located on the north end of the property, while a 77,000 SF police headquarters building and a 911/dispatch center is centrally located with a skybridge connecting it to the existing detention center. The new facilities provide additional space for existing and future staff, as well as numerous security and operational enhancements. Both the fire station and police headquarters are designed to have ICC 500 code-compliant storm shelters. In addition to the four-bay station, training and bunk rooms, the facility also includes an emergency operations center and community event space. The project received the 2019 Firehouse Magazine Station Design Career 1 Bronze Award and the 2019 F.I.E.R.O. Fires Station Design Recognition Award. Town of Little Elm | Little Elm, Texas
Fire Stations
Designed to blend with the neighborhood style yet stand out from the residential development surrounding it, the design of Little Elm Fire Station No. 3 checks both boxes. The three drive-through apparatus bays include glazed four-fold doors flanked by steel columns that support a canopy system that continues across the entire building. The interior is an open concept kitchen and dayroom area for firefighters to gather.

www.jqeng.com FIRE STATION NO. 27 City of Dallas | Dallas, Texas The 23,000 SF fire station replaced an older facility and consists of two floors built above underground parking to accommodate site limitations. Construction included cast-in-place concrete load-bearing walls with wide pan joist floors at the elevated floors. The roof system is exposed steel framing with a steel deck, and several planter walls and landscaping features are incorporated into the site. FIRE STATION NO. 8
City of Frisco | Frisco, Texas on saving time in emergencies, Fire Station No. 8 provides a new concept for the City of Frisco utilizing folding doors on their four vehicle bays, rather than the overhead garage-type doors as seen in past stations. In addition to the typical living quarters for firefighters, the station also includes a multi-purpose room that can be used by the community for voting during elections.


www.jqeng.com FIRE STATION NO. 50 City of Dallas | Dallas, Texas This 12,000 SF, one-story facility has two full bays, and two half bays. It is a multiple company station designed for fifteen firefighters per shift. The station also includes: apparatus bays, watch desk area, dining area and kitchen, living room sleeping areas restrooms and showers, and a physical training room. Station No. 50 achieved LEED Gold Status as part of the City of Dallas initiative 2030 plan for Carbon Neutrality. New Services:ConstructionStructural Engineering Size: 12,000 SF Cost: $6.7M

Structural systems include drilled pier or shallow footing foundations, concrete slab-on-grade ground floor and a mix of structural steel framing and load bearing CMU walls for the superstructure.
