THIRD-PARTY RESOURCES ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL & GOVERNANCE (ESG) TOOLS The tools outlined in the ESG section aid in the implementation of The Enhanced Exec's Program, Training Session #2: Planning Part 1: Long-Term Planning; Session #4: Strong Corporate Governance – The Board; Session #6: Introduction to Execution Part II & Management Teams; and #15: Corporate Stewardship. The fund manager’s shared services (SGS) team (in particular, the SGS Group COO) will use these tools in partnership with their SME portfolio companies as they work together to execute the First 180-Days postinvestment plan, per the Playbook Materials. Tool Description

The CDC's ESG Toolkit provides fund managers and their portfolio companies with a high-level overview of what a company-level environmental and social management system (ESMS) should entail and provides several relevant templates and checklist that accompany and supports the ESMS. These include an ESG Checklist, ESG Action Plan, ESG Report Template, etc.

Tool Description

This IFC guidebook "specifically addresses the challenges and opportunities faced by SMEs at the various stages of their lifecycles, offering tailored corporate governance recommendations. The Guidebook includes the Action Planning Tool to help SME owners, investors, and managers take a pragmatic approach to governance, as a means of strengthening their businesses over the long term."
