Agenda: Orienteering and recap; Why, what and how of being the CEO; Program summary; Next steps Description: This session focuses talks about what it means to be a CEO. It underscores why a CEO is important for a company; what a good CEO does (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually), and strategies to become a more effective CEO. The session will go into detail on the key questions that CEOs need to be able to answer and strategies to overcome common mistakes CEOs make. We’ll spend time in breakout sessions talking about each participant’s experience and areas for practical growth they need to make to become a more effective CEO, and they will each provide their top 5 take-aways from The Exec’s Program in the breakouts. How This Session is Gender-Smart: This session emphasizes the benefits of having women in leadership roles in a company; how as a male or female CEO, you might have hidden gender biases and how to overcome those; we talk about effective ways to manage gender-balanced teams. Much of the gender content related to the Board and senior leadership team also applies to the CEO and we draw on this as appropriate. Tools: N/A Assignment: Prepare for the test
