THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF ORGANIC SHAPES

The story of Nestor & Røtsen is the story of the brothers Devi and Denneb Vervaeke. Naturally predisposed for art, music and natural patterns, they grew up as children of a painter and grandchildren of a furniture maker.

Three things have always been a part of them: creation, imagination and perfection. As a child, Denneb displayed these three points in his colourful and organic drawings. Devi did so in his compositions for classical piano. As he says, “My compositions from then show similarities to our objects today: a search for the right balance and harmony between contradictory ingredients.”

Before Nestor & Røtsen existed, the fascination for texture, colour and natural erosion guided Devi and Denneb to their own painting studio. With Atelier Nest, the brothers discovered the boundaries between natural phenomena and classic finishing techniques in contemporary, minimalistic and classic interiors. However, inspiration cannot be described and generalised so easily. Today the unique processes and patinas are the foundation of Nestor & Røtsen. Exclusive objects wherein natural materials and techniques are the basis for organic shapes and the perfect imperfection.

KOSM O — D O ME PENDANT NR0 06 Authentic And Organic

A search for extremes and the love for experimentalism are at the basis of Kosmo The ceramic dome has a diameter of 110 centimetres and weighs 85 kilograms. With its organic curves, rounded corners and handmade lines Kosmo takes you on a trip to another cosmos.

KOSM O — D O ME PENDANT NR02 2 Infinity Has No End

The Kosmo's enamel procedure started by experimenting with relief and evolved to display an expressive use of colour and whimsical, dynamic layers that lend it an aspect not unlike a painting. Kosmo is available in all basic colours of N&R ceramics, but if desired, it could be produced in another colour or pattern.

40.000 wings of the Jewel Beetle form a show of light, colour and movement. Khepri derives its name from the eponymous Egyptian god who was associated with the rising sun. Every lighting object is a handmade, mysterious puzzle of reflection. Indirect lighting reflects the play of iridescent colors from emerald green to indigo.

These are 4 simple steps to customize your wall: 1 — Provide us with any source of personal inspiration: a photo of a painting, a fabric swatch, a tearsheet from a magazine; 2 — We present you our ceramics collection brimming with samples in a variety of colours and textures; 3 — Together we select a colour palette and fitting pattern to achieve any desired result.
