Many people tend to consider formation as being informed. In fact, there's no shortage of information today You can even be informed on God But that information need not necessarily lead to the formation of the human being. Formation, on the other hand, is transformation. Transformation is a process, an ongoing conversion of the whole person in all his dimensions It's a life changing dynamic which molds the entire being It's like the work of a potter, who places a mold of mud on his spinning wheel. Can you see the figure of Mother Teresa, or Mahatma Gandhi, in that muddy paste? Slowly, the wheel spins and the potter's masterful hands shape it into a human figure. Was that mud a worthless thing? No, the figure wouldn't have emerged without it. It was the primary matter. Therefore, St. Vincent says, our soul is a living and intelligent being of the whole God. It was not painted on canvas, it was not made of wood, stone, or metal, but of a living, rational and substantial substance which has its own characteristics.

For our life on earth reaches full stature when it becomes an offering. Here I would repeat that “the mission of being in the heart of the people is not just a part of my life or a badge I can take off; it is not an ‘extra’ or just another moment in life. Instead, it is something I cannot uproot from my being without destroying my very self. I am a mission on this earth; that is the reason why I am here in this world” It follows that every form of pastoral activity, formation and spirituality should be seen in the light of our Christian vocation Your own personal vocation does not consist only in the work you do, though that is an expression of it. Your vocation is something more: it is a path guiding your many efforts and actions towards service to others. So in discerning your vocation, it is important to determine if you see in yourself the abilities needed to perform that specific service to society. This gives greater value to everything you do

This has nothing to do with inventing ourselves or creating ourselves out of nothing. It has to do with finding our true selves in the light of God and letting our lives flourish and bear fruit. “In God’s plan, every man and woman is meant to seek self fulfilment, for every human life is called to some task by God”.Your vocation inspires you to bring out the best in yourself for the glory of God and the good of others. It is not simply a matter of doing things, but of doing them with meaning and direction Jesus is walking in our midst, as he did in Galilee. He walks through our streets, and he quietly stops and looks into our eyes. His call is attractive and intriguing. Yet today the stress and quick pace of a world constantly bombarding us with stimuli can leave no room for that interior silence in which we can perceive Jesus’ gaze and hear his call. In the meantime, many attractively packaged offers will come your way. They may seem appealing and exciting, although in time they will only leave you feeling empty, weary and alone. Don’t let this happen to you It is better to seek out that calm and quiet that enable you to reflect, pray, look more clearly at the world around you, and then, with Jesus, come to recognize the vocation that is yours in this world.
YOUR WORK STOPS BEING JUST ABOUT MAKING MONEY, KEEPING BUSY OR PLEASING OTHERS. IT BECOMES YOUR VOCATION BECAUSE YOU ARE CALLED TO IT; IT IS SOMETHING MORE THAN MERELY A PRAGMATIC DECISION. Pallottigiri has also stood the test of time, and continues to renew itself as a cornerstone of Pallottine Formation in India. Opening in 1964, it's the Vocation Orientation Center for Kerala, as well as students of the Northeast. The brothers are integrated into the first step of their journey of religious life, while pursuing their Higher Secondary studies.

Trivandrum is the capital and largest city of India's Kerala State; with accounts dating back to 1,000 BC, as an ancient trading post of spices, sandalwood, and ivory. Likewise, traditions say that St. Thomas the Apostle landed on Kerala's coast in 52 AD, founding the first 7 Churches before his martyrdom at Mylapore in 72 AD.

Miyar is a village in the southwestern state of Karnataka, in the vicinity of the metropolis of Mangalore; a major port city developed in the Arabian Sea during ancient times. Set inland from the coast, its geographically characterized by its rolling green hills, waterways, and coconut trees. Amidst this topology is Pallotti Vikas, located on land purchased at Kuntibail, Udupi District, in 2013. It was constructed with the distinct objective to assist the growing number of vocations in Karnataka. Accelerated with the efforts of Project Coordinator Fr. Manohar Noronha, the foundation stone was set on January 30th, 2017. Having henceforth obtained the written permission of His Excellency, Rev. Gerald Lobo, Bishop of Udupi, Pallotti Vikas received its canonical decree.

Whereas many missions are driven for pastoral aims, Madurai was precisely in response to the growing number of vocations in Tamil Nadu's neighboring state, Kerala. An official contract was signed with the Archdiocese of Madurai in 1978, and the house inaugurated November 1979.
Pallotti Illam is a 3-year program, where the brothers are given free schooling, run by the St. Charles Borrromeo Sisters. Aside from their main courses, they also study Introduction to the Bible, Liturgy, Catechism, English grammar, Introduction to Vincent Pallotti, Etiquette and Personality Development classes.

Chicalim is a suburb to Goa's port city of Vasco da Gama; the largest hub of India's coastal, southwestern state. Originally, the Bangalore Province's plan was to set up a Vocational Orientation Center for students from the states of Goa, Karnataka, and Maharashtra in the urban center of Mangalore (Karnataka). As that proved difficult, attention was turned toward a central location, 5 hours north in the Diocese of Karwar. Again unable to be realized, Postulancy temporarily began at Pallotti Home Chicalim, under its director Fr. Frederick D'Souza SAC, in 1993. The first students were accommodated in one block of the Retreat House. Through the impetus of Fr. Anton Nenzl SAC in 1997, an annex to the retreat house for the postulants was suggested; henceforth finalized and blessed by Fr. Jacob Nampudakam SAC on June 13, 1999. "Do not fear to step out of yourselves in prayer or in action. Be brave, in order to pray and in order to go and proclaim the Gospel."

Chandor, a village in the sub district of South Goa, stands on the ancient city of Chandrapura; the capital of dynasties which spanned from the 3rd to 14th centuries. It's on these historic grounds which Pallotti Jyothi Niwas was realized in 2001, when the Pallottine Fathers felt the need for an apostolic school in Goa.
With renovations on an ancestral plot complete, the first novitiate group entered in 2002. An expansion block was blessed three years later in 2005.

During its first two years, a Novitiate House was rented in the town of Jharsuguda, until an official location was found. That location came to be Kumudapali, inaugurated on May 31, 2006.

Tamil Nadu's Arulaham Novitiate is the fruit of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate's transformation of the Indian Entities in 2020; expanding from 3 Provinces to 4 Provinces and 1 Region. The decrees of this Chapter stated that each individual entity must have its own Novitiate. Hence training for the Brothers began in a former Kindergarten school, located on the Pallottine Campus in the Diocese of Kuzithurai, Tamil Nadu.

Pallotti Institute of Philosophy and Religion was first instituted in 1972 at Pallottigiri, Trivandrum, Kerala. It shifted to Casa Pallotti in 1979, where it has remained henceforth. It seeks the path of holiness through the fullest meaning of Christ, aspiring students to seek the transcendent dimension in both their vocational and spiritual life. The Archdiocese of Goa & Daman was instituted in 1557; and it's here where the Pallottines took their first major undertaking in India, after their arrival to Raipur by German missionaries in 1950. Prabodhana, meaning to impart divine teaching, was instituted on June 29, 2004 as the Pallottine Theologate. Situated on a 27 acre campus, it offers a 4 year theology program in accordance with ecclesiastical laws of priestly formation, as well as the Society of the Catholic Apostolate's formation program and India's Pallottine Conference of Major Superiors. It aims to foster formation at the service of church renewal and mission, through the original inspiration of St. Vincent Pallotti and in conformity with the fresh insights of the Second Vatican Council; with particular regards to the co responsibility of the Church's missionary mandate.
