West Country Vending – Charitable Giving At West Country Vending, they believe in giving back to the community, the people that are in less forgiving circumstances, and to people and causes that are doing great things for their communities too. This is why West Country Vending believes in charities like Jessie May Trust and are proud to be members of the What’s Right group since these are all causes for good. Jessie May is a charity that was established in September 1994 by Chris & Philippa Purrington who sadly lost their baby daughter, Jessica May. IT was during Chris’s and Philippa’s visits to Bristol that Jessica was admitted to the local hospital, which is where they learnt that, the support levels they received in their home in High Wycombe was not available to Bristol families caring for their child. Both Chris & Philippa were heart set on doing what they could to give families the support they needed so that they could choose where to lose their loved ones. After much hard work, persistence and determination they were able to secure initial funding in which the officially launched Jessie May in 1996. The Jessie May Trust is pretty much reliant on voluntary funding in order to function, which is where gracious companies like WCVS are able to partake in challenges like the Jessie May Caring at Work £1,000 challenge in open in browser PRO version

Bath & North East Somerset in order to help sponsor a nurse and hopefully raise £1,000 for a Jessie May nurse that is doing great work in in enriching children’s short lives and provide high quality care for the whole family. It’s vitally important that, when a child does pass away, their family has lots of positive memories to look back on. This is not the only cause that West Country Vending Services promote/partake in as they are also proud members of the What’s Right? Group, which have donated over £30,000 to good causes since 2008.
