TRANSLATIONS Psalm 13 How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?

How long will you hide your face from me? How long shall I keep planning in my soul and experience a daily sorrow of heart? How long shall my enemy be higher than I? Consider and answer me, O Lord, my God: enlighten my eyes, lest I sleep in death: Lest my enemies say, “I have overpowered him.” Lest my foes rejoice that I am overthrown. But I have trusted in your unfailing love: my heart rejoices in your deliverance. Let me sing to the Lord because he has dealt generously with me.
