GLORIFY GOD BY PURSUING EXCELLENCE IN CHRIST-CENTERED ACADEMICS
As I write this to you, we have started celebrating our 75th year of ministry to Riverside and the surrounding areas. What an amazing blessing it has been to reach so many students and their families over the years and share a rigorous academic program anchored and driven by the love of Christ. I am always struck by the amazing ways our students fully embrace their time at Woodcrest Christian and share themselves with their classmates and others through their involvement in school activities. And boy are our students involved! Like life in general, the more you invest in it, the more you get out of it.
While participating in activities is fulfilling in many ways, it is the relationships built along the way that makes a Woodcrest Christian education so unique. Those relationships often cross distance and time as alumni stay in contact, share great memories, and give back to their alma mater. What a joy to see God at work in so many lives and what a blessing to be a part of it. May God continue to bestow upon us the passion to prepare students to impact the world for Christ!
Around the World
God's heart for missions and sharing the Gospel is brought to light for elementary students through their study of various nations. Each classroom studies a particular country and learns about the nation’s people, customs, religion, food, and more. Classrooms are decorated in cultural decor, and students get a glimpse of life in other parts of the world. The study concludes with the annual Missions Day Parade, where students visit other classrooms to see and hear all about God's people around the world.
Woodcrest Christian senior Hannah d’Arc was selected as one of Riverside’s 25 “Most Remarkable Teens!” She was recognized for her exceptional work, academic excellence, and remarkable contribution to the community and environment. Hannah models the Woodcrest Christian value of service. She volunteered 713 hours of her time during her senior year to organizations throughout Riverside.
A select team of 17 students served as student leaders on the WCDS Leadership team. Designed to help students learn new skills through leading and serving, this group eagerly served in many ways including greeting new families at campus tours, helping with events on campus, leading flag salutes, making announcements in classrooms, and more.
On the upper campus, middle schoolers are required to perform 10 hours of service, and high schoolers are required to perform 20 hours of service each school year.
In this club, sixth grade students serve others by caring for the campus, setting up and tearing down events, being responsible for playground balls and equipment, and many other jobs. Through their service, they bless both staff and students as they lend a hand and learn to love by doing for others.
Students committed to sending a message of love by contributing to Operation Christmas Child. Through this missions-oriented event, students collect items in a shoebox that are delivered to kids around the world. A record 530 boxes were collected from the students! Students also raised $1,500 for a special offering that was sent to Samaritan's Purse to help the people of Ukraine.

Starting simply from the obedience of a grandmother named Matilda Randall, who responded to God's calling to start a Christian school in Riverside in 1948, the Woodcrest Christian School System has served the Inland Empire for 75 years and has impacted thousands of lives.
As we celebrate those 75 years, we invite you to take a step into the past with us to remember the moments that shaped our culture and community as an institution. The roots of our history run deep in our staff, teachers, students, and generations of families. Our story is truly one that God has orchestrated from the beginning and continues to bless.
Many men and women have been instrumental in the growth and development of Woodcrest Christian School. From their vision, sacrifices, and service, these leaders helped build the foundation of our school, set the standard for Christ-centered academics, and mod eled what it means to love God and love others.
