Florey came to America to enlist the aid of U.S. chemical manufacturers to develop methods of mass antibiotic production to prevent

A Viking pump was used on these tanks to take the oil from the differential and pump it through a special radiator and back through the differential for pressure lubrication. This feature made the medium tanks suitable for high speed and continuous service. A Viking pump also was aboard a tiny ship with a big history — the Intent. This was a 102-foot tugboat used by the Allies in and around the continent of Africa. Its greatest value was realized late in the war.
