Last year TSE’s PR activities generated over £17million worth of international coverage alone. Visit Winchester’s PR consortium ‘Discover Winchester’ netted £1.3m in 2013 – a return on investment of £92 for every £1 that the businesses in the consortium invested. The South Downs Sense of Place toolkit, developed by the South Downs National Park Authority, is packed full of information, inspiration and images which tourism businesses in the National Park can use for free to promote themselves and the South Downs to visitors. The Sense of Place toolkit includes case studies from businesses already using the South Downs to offer visitors their own distinctive experience.
