The End Our Unchanging Vision

MISSION

Westminster Christian Academy honors Jesus Christ by providing an excellent education, rooted in biblical truth as interpreted by the Westminster Confession of Faith, for the children of Christian parents. Faculty and staff enable students to discover and embrace a biblical view of the world and integrate that view into every area of life.

Much has changed in our society since 1976. But for 50 years, Westminster has kept one storyline. Our mission guides our decisions, curriculum, investments, and milestones. It’s a joy and honor to build upon the faith, traditions, and commitment of the families who have come before us to impact a new generation of students for Christ.

“Your name, O LORD, endures forever, your renown, O LORD, through all generations.”

PSALM 145:13

MEANINGFUL CHAPTERS IN WESTMINSTER’S STORY

Westminster welcomed 72 students who embraced a Christian worldview within their education. Clark Neuhoff ‘77 became the sole member of Westminster’s first graduating class.

Board members put up their homes as collateral to secure a loan to purchase the Ladue Road campus in Creve Coeur (a property a Westminster mom faithfully prayed would become available years prior)!

The Faith in Action program is launched. Students live out their faith through serving the community.

Westminster transitioned its campus to a small elementary school building in Des Peres.

Enrollment grows to 350 students. Jim Marsh is hired as Westminster’s fourth head of school.

The first Spirit Week kicks off through the leadership of Florence Lewis (mother of Art Teacher, Lizzie Vogel). What a tradition was launched!

Significant enrollment prompts the Board to approve a $9 million expansion; the school quickly filled to capacity.

Westminster’s Town and Country campus opened, enabling the school to enroll more families.

Westminster families commit more than $25M in investments to strengthen WCA’s financial health, support tuition grants, and develop new programs.

1990s

To serve more families, the Westminster community took a big step of faith to purchase 40 acres of property in Town and Country for $14.25 million, all with borrowed funds. An unexpected $7.1 million gift allowed Westminster to purchase an additional 30 acres of property immediately adjacent to the previously purchased 40 acres.

WestminsterYOU launches, offering students more innovative approaches to learning. Academies now include Business, STEM, Law & Constitution, Fine Arts & Aviation alongside enrichments in music, gardening, medicine and more!

Westminster celebrates 50 years of God’s faithfulness to the school community.

From the Head of School

Dear Westminster Community,

This year, we joyfully celebrate Westminster Christian Academy’s 50th anniversary with the theme Celebrate the Story. For half a century, God has faithfully guided and sustained our community through the prayers, sacrifices, and service of countless families, students, and teachers. As we remember His provision and rejoice in the fruit He has produced, we also look with anticipation to Westminster’s next chapter.

50 years ago, a small group of courageous families sensed God’s leading to establish a school in St. Louis where students could be both academically challenged and spiritually nurtured. They dreamed of a place where families and the local church would partner with the school to prepare their children to engage the world and transform it for Jesus Christ.

These families had few resources, but they carried something far greater: faith. They trusted that God would honor their prayers, sacrifices, and commitment. And He has. From the first day, God has been writing a remarkable story here at Westminster,

guided by our mission and marked by the fruitful lives of students and alumni who embrace a biblical worldview and live with purpose and integrity.

In every chapter, God has provided what was needed at just the right time to serve our students and families. He has called exceptional educators and leaders to shepherd and teach our students, supplied world-class facilities, resources, and programs that enable students to confidently discover and develop their God-given gifts, and graciously cultivated a loving community, united in the greater narrative of Christ’s work in our world.

This 2025–2026 Annual Report offers a glimpse of God’s faithfulness to Westminster over the past 50 years. As you read testimonies, updates, and reflections, may you be encouraged and inspired to remain an active participant in His unfolding story.

Just as our founders could not have imagined how their courage and faith would shape generations of students, so may we now consider how our faithful decisions today will shape the next 50 years of Westminster Christian Academy.

“As we mark Westminster’s 50th anniversary, I am mindful of the leaders, teachers, and parents who have served, sacrificed, and faithfully upheld the mission and vision of this school for five decades. We owe a debt of gratitude to the families who came before us. I also believe we have a responsibility to continue stewarding this school and serving our students with utmost integrity, excellence, and faith. Even as we pause to celebrate what God has done, it’s exciting to consider what Westminster’s future holds.”

“Many, LORD my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.”

MY STORY

“Teachers always try to include their faith in everything. I’ll highlight Mr. Hall, my science teacher. He always did a very good job of integrating Christ with what he does. There was always some sort of test question about how does this go with our faith? How does it work with what we, as Christians, say about this? He got us to think about faith in science and put the two concepts together.”

FAITHFULNESS IN ACADEMICS

Teachers Who Care

Westminster’s founders committed to providing an excellent education rooted in a biblical worldview, where academic rigor and faith go hand in hand. Over the past year, students have taken on challenging coursework while teachers intentionally wove biblical truth into their lessons. Westminster also launched new programs to support students discovering interests in unique fields, from our Aviation Academy to Medical Enrichment. The result of our teachers’ faithfulness and students’ hard work is impressive – to God be the glory!

FEARLESSLY CREATIVE

Westminster students shone on some of St. Louis’s biggest stages last year! From dazzling audiences at the Fabulous Fox during the St. Louis High School Musical Theater Awards to performing alongside the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, their musical, theatrical, and artistic talents were on full display.

A record-breaking seven students were selected as all-state musicians, performing at the Missouri Music Educators Conference in Osage Beach, and young WCA artists were proudly featured in the Saint Louis Art Museum’s 2025 Young Artists Exhibition. These achievements highlight the extraordinary creativity and dedication of our students and elevate Westminster as a place for young artists

MY STORY

“The main reason I came to Westminster was for theater. From a 30,000 foot perspective, the fact that we have four experts on staff, and they all have their own talents, it just really blows me away. Westminster also has one of the best, physically speaking, theater spaces of any high school in Saint Louis. But more broadly, any theater in Saint Louis, be that professional or collegiate. We have great tech. We’ve done modern plays and musicals, and we’ve done classics. I got to play the part of Everyman in a 15th century morality play. It really let me explore my faith from a really cool standpoint.”

THE FRUIT OF ATHLETIC EXCELLENCE

With the success of our student-athletes over the past year, Westminster now has 50 individual and team state championships in our 50-year history! Coaches come alongside to lead, shepherd, and equip athletes to develop God-given skills and a Christ-centered focus in competition.

17 team state championships

33 individual state champions

46 Final Four appearances

96 district championships

10 Pillars guiding athletes to compete for Christ

MY STORY

“I played lacrosse and tennis. Faith was always integrated into athletics through Bible study or devotions before practice. The coaches are amazing, and they really want you to improve not only in your sport, but also in your faith. We’re reminded that we’re not just playing for ourselves but for a team and for Christ.”

FUN

From Homecoming Carnival to Spirit Week to getting the parents involved at our 70s-Themed Trivia Night, there’s always something fun happening at Westminster!

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

FAITH

Last year, we were honored and humbled to witness a swelling revival of students eager to grow in their faith and discipleship of Jesus Christ. Faith in Action and Senior Service, Chapels, REVIVE Nights of Worship, small groups, prayer times, and more are instrumental in cultivating young hearts for Christ and His Kingdom.

“Thank you for your support with which we were able to purchase new blocks/wedges, lane lines, sound system and some parts for our scoring system. Yes, we will have faster starts, but with the larger side step, swimmers will have much safer access to the platforms. The new blocks with the Westminster Wildcat logo will be a source of pride of the WCA swim/dive community for years to come. Again, thank you and thank God for donors like you who are willing to support our athletic programs.”

“The South Dakota Summer Seminar was an unforgettable experience. [One morning], I happened to wake up before any of the other people in the boy’s tent. I didn’t feel like falling back asleep … so I quietly stood up, grabbed my Bible, and exited the tent … I spent nearly two-and-a-half hours sitting alone in silence, reading Psalms, praying, listening to the birds, watching flowers blow in the wind, observing the ants scurry around my boots, and simply sitting in the presence of my Creator. I am grateful for the aid given to me that allowed me to go on that trip, not just because it was an amazing time, but because it was an amazing time with my Heavenly Father.

Dear Westminster Community,

For half a century, God has been faithful to Westminster. But He has always worked through the generosity, service, and prayers of His people.

Donors, volunteers, and parents like you have invested time, resources, and faith to ensure that Westminster remains a place where young men and women are academically challenged and spiritually nurtured, without compromise.

Yet this milestone is not just about looking back. It is about looking forward with courage, faith, and vision.

The next chapter of Westminster’s story will be written by how we respond today—by expanding access to tuition grants so more families can join our community, by enhancing facilities that inspire learning and growth, by growing an endowment through planned and estate gifts that sustain future generations, and most importantly, by ensuring that Christ’s Name is upheld in every classroom, on every stage, and in every Westminster activity.

Through your faith and generosity, you can shape the future of Westminster and, more importantly, the future of every student who walks these halls. On behalf of the entire Westminster community, thank you for advancing the mission of Westminster. Together, let us boldly carry this legacy forward for the next fifty years.

With gratitude and anticipation,

MY STORY

“You often hear kids my age say things like, ‘You couldn’t pay me a million dollars to go back to high school,’ but the truth is I would relive my time at WCA without a second thought. Now that I have graduated, I wish I had 5 more minutes on that beautiful campus surrounded by those loving teachers who gave everything they had to make me successful. This school changed my life. I feel inspired to care for others in the same way that Westminster cared and reflected the overwhelming love of God for me.”
