The 2022 Foundation Standard is going live soon

The 2022 Foundation Standard is going live soon The Quality Programmes Team is pleased to announce the 2022 version of Foundation Standard will be live on the Quality website from 1 February 2022.

What you can expect from the revised Foundation Standard' The 2022 Foundation Standard is more efficient, with reduced duplication and more clarity around the evidence requirements. We’ve made the following improvements: • • • • • •

indicators with similar content have been merged. For example, indicator 7 (screening and recall) has been combined with indicator 13 (cold chain) any duplication in the indicators or criteria has been removed some content has been rearranged to improve the flow of an indicator the focus on Māori health has been increased training requirements are clearer the guidance has been updated to reflect the changes and provide more information on areas practices found unclear or challenging.

We’re anticipating practices and assessors will find it easier to use and be better equipped for the Health and Disability Reform.
