Practice funding – COVID vaccination engagement Kia ora Practice Managers, Please see below information on additional funding available from the DHB to support Covid-19 Vaccination Uptake.

For All Practices: Funding/Assistance to Support Focus on Vaccine Hesitant Vaccine hesitancy is still an issue, however getting advice from a trusted health professional can have a significant positive impact in changing minds. Doing this work takes time and money, often within already constrained environments. In order to help the DHB is offering the following support:

A call on your behalf to check if patient needs further information and advice. This can be done with your Contact DHB Vaccination practice – DHB to Enrolled Free Team provide NonService for to request support. Email: experienced Vaccinated Practices Brent.Gilbertcustomer DeRios@bopdhb.govt.nz experience staff direct to you, or these staff can be based remotely to do this work on your behalf.

Subsidised Service carried out by Practice. 3 Claiming options depending on patient eligibility criteria.

1. Prevaccination consultation with GP/NP Not dependent on outcome. 1 claim per person max.

2. Post vaccine consultation with GP/NP

Please indicate whether CARM report was made. Patient might need more than one visit to have initial consult and then back for results/review.

For Vaccinating Practices: Free – Promotion, Events Advice and Support If you’re already vaccinating, there is an array of resources (free of charge) available to you. You may have already these through the Ministry of Health ordering portal e.g. tear drop flag, posters etc. While these resources are helpful we’re aware many of you are keen to develop specific vaccination events or initiatives and the DHB is very keen to support you. This support ranges from event advice and set (e.g. BBQs, table, marquee hire) to incentives (e.g. prize sponsorship, vouchers/assistance to assist those where cost of travelling to a vaccination centre is barrier).

This can be completed and sent to the vaccination rollout team by email: promo.orders@bopdhb.govt.nz ‘Super Saturday’ – National Campaign This is a nationwide push for vaccination; with local practices getting on board by running events. This will build up to a national day of action for vaccination on Saturday 16 October — ‘Super Saturday’.
