Postgraduate online study opportunities starting July The University of Otago is taking enrolments for postgraduate Primary Health Care and Travel Medicine papers starting July 2022. Papers are taught at a distance, led by professionals actively working in the sector, available as single papers or as part of a postgraduate qualification, flexible with assignments tailored to your own professional practice and interests.

Courses include: PRHC 703 Strategy and Leadership in Primary Health Care - led by Dr Sam Murton, Specialist General Practitioner, President RNZCGP, and Vicky Noble, Registered Nurse, Professional Practice Fellow. This course provides modules in informed strategic approaches; leadership for change; building high-performing organisational teams; and quality and safety frameworks.

GENA 720 Refugee and Migrant Health - led by Dr Jonathan Kennedy, Specialist General Practitioner, Senior Lecturer, and Serena Moran, Nurse Practitioner, Professional Practice Fellow.

This paper is timely for health professionals as borders open and refugee resettlement programmes reactivate. This course explores the health issues for refugees and migrants and teaches new skills in cross-cultural care.

PRHC 702 Wilderness and Expedition Medicine - led by Dr Jenny Visser, Travel Medicine Specialist, Specialist General Practitioner, and Dr Shaun Counsell, Travel Medicine Specialist, Specialist General Practitioner. As travel begins to resume, many will be planning wilderness and expedition experiences requiring medical support and advice. This course equips participants with knowledge to comprehensively advise and prepare those engaging in outdoor activities, and practical skills to be an expedition medic.
