We are emailing to let you know that the isolation period for all identified close contacts, including household contacts, has changed. These changes will come into effect from XX XXXXXXX 2022.
Household contacts – contacts that live in the same household as someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 Your self-isolation period has now commenced from the date that the positive test result of the case in your household was taken. You will now stop self-isolating on Day 11 if you have returned a negative Day 8 test result and have no new or worsening symptoms. All other Close Contacts Your self-isolation period will now be reduced to seven days from the time you were last exposed to a COVID-19 case. You will stop self-isolating on Day 8 if you have returned a negative Day 5 test result and have no new or worsening symptoms. Please continue to monitor for symptoms. If symptoms develop, please get an additional test immediately, stay at home until you have received a negative test, and for 24 hours after your symptoms resolve. If you are fully, partially or unvaccinated, this 7 day isolation period is the same.
