Expressions of Interest: GP(s) interested in Chronic Pain ACC is currently reviewing its Pain Management contracts. In a bid to improve service delivery to people with either persistent pain or potential to develop chronic pain Avenues PhysioFitness is teaming with other highly skilled providers in the Tauranga region to provide this service. We have a team of experienced clinicians and clear relationships with the NZ Pain Society to allow a research-based service to optimize patient care. We believe this is a unique opportunity to be part of a major New Zealand health initiative to provide high-quality, evidence-based support under a biopsychosocial framework that supports clients to reduce the impact of persistent pain and return to work and independence following an injury. As a GP supplier you will be able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a new service delivery model for pain management that allows us to better target services to the needs of all our clients. It is anticipated this will be on an ad hoc basis depending on client needs. Service delivery can be at your clinic, ours or via telehealth.
