COVID – 19 Update
Kia ora koutou, Tēnā hoki koutou me ngā āhuatanga o te wā. Here we are again, yes, we have been here before. NRI as an organisation have transitioned fluidly into the response role as of yesterday’s 6pm Level 4 breaking news update. Managers have contacted and set their teams to either work from home or coordinate essential services. Our Iwi office is closed to public under LEVEL 4 lockdown protocols; we have a small team in the office coordinating essential services. Phones have been diverted to managers cell phones however email contact is recommended. Our focus this morning is to ensure the safety of our staff and whānau as an essential service provider. Home and community support clientele have been contacted, Kaiāwhina resourced with PPE. Social services teams are in place with our Tamariki living in our care and follow up calls to our whānau just to check in and say kia ora; our counselling teams will also be providing check in phone calls. Board members (Marae Representatives) have received communications by way of update which can be shared on to our Marae communities. The COVID protocols are in place with resource to support our teams. Previous investment has supported the fluidity of picking up tools in the era of COVID.
