Kia ora tātou, The summer break is starting to feel like a fleeting memory as we ramp up for Stage 3 of the NDP delivery. It’s great to see everybody back at work looking refreshed as we start the new year. The NDP core platform will be live at the end of March, and our first two data sets, Medicines Data Repository (MDR) and Cardiovascular Disease Risk Assessment (CVDRA), are coming onboard in early May. The team are preparing for the NDP launch, and are focused on ensuring that the people, the processes, and the technology are all in place and ready as NDP opens for business. Kari Jones, Chief Data Officer – Data Services – Te Whatu Ora

As we move toward providing a national service, we will look at how we balance out all the good work that happens in the regions today - and what that means within a national framework. The move to a national service is creating opportunities for Data Services team members and will allow us to build on the knowledge and skills that currently exist as we stand up the platform and begin onboarding data. Hayden Eagle from Bay of Plenty, and Prakash Yadav from the Counties Manukau will work with Kris Dunne, NDP Lead BA, to support the build team as they test the NDP in preparation for NDP go live. Mel Jiang from the National Collections Warehousing team will be supporting operationalisation of the key operating model processes that will underpin the NDP. Paul Steyn has already joined the team as the Product Owner for Alation, our new data catalogue. Stay tuned for future opportunities! What would you like to read about in future newsletters?
