Healthcare professionals are key for encouraging uptake of bowel screening. The campaign research found that GPs, nurses and healthcare professionals were the top health information source for campaign priority populations of Māori and Pacific peoples.
The national bowel screening campaign has now been running for over eight months, and a recent monitor found it has high awareness among priority audiences. We now have the opportunity to involve primary care more closely in the campaign.
We hope you will take part in the May focus of bowel screening.
