Subject: Co-Designing a Mini Osteoarthritis Guidebook for Aotearoa New Zealand
Kia ora,
In 2022, we were pleased to publish the Aotearoa Osteoarthritis Guidebook. The resource has been well received and more and more clinical services are now using it. While developing this resource, many people suggested we should also develop something shorter, an easy-to-read resource that gives you the key pieces of information in an easy to access format.

We would like to offer you the opportunity to participate in the next phase of our kaupapa You have approached you because of your knowledge and experience of working with people with osteoarthritis/living with osteoarthritis.
The purpose of the next phase of the mahi is to co-design a short osteoarthritis booklet that is responsive to the needs of New Zealanders living with the disease. The research with be conducted in two phases, the first will be a co-design workshop which will be held at 10-12 noon on Tuesday 23rd May at Arataki Community Centre, Mount Maunganui. The second phase will be a short survey about the prototype guidebook developed following the workshop (we expected this to be circulate between 8 and12 weeks after the workshop).
If you want more information about our kaupapa or how to participate, please feel free to contact Catherine Willis [catherine.willis@bopdhb.govt.nz].
Ngā mihi nui,
