Hep C and Harm Reduction Education Update This CME/CNE educational session for GP’s and Nurses will provide attendees with knowledge and skills regarding risk factors for Hepatitis C, harm reduction services, current treatment, and link care.

Have a greater understanding of risk factors for Hepatitis C

Be familiar with current treatment and link to care

Have gained skills and knowledge about harm reduction and how to speak to people who inject substances

Understand the impact of Hepatitis C on Māori Health and the potential for reducing Māori health inequalities

The CME/CNE activity has been endorsed by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) and has been approved for up to 1.5 CME credits for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) purposes.
CME attendance: THE WBOP PHO education team will only issue certificates and register attendee details on the RNZCGP CME register for those who attend events in person. Those who attend via Zoom or watch a recorded version of the event at a later date are able to claim CME points by entering the event as an ‘individually planned learning activity’ and completing a self-reflective activity via the RNCGP dashboard.
