Email from Ministry of Health COVID Vaccine and Immunisation Programme team Kia ora koutou, As part of the continuous improvement and ongoing enhancements to the COVID Immunisations Register (CIR) and COVID Immunisation Consumer Support (CICS) there is a release of new functionality going live in the CIR and CICS this week (week commencing 2 August). As part of this we wanted to provide a brief overview of the key changes in advance so you know what is coming. We will provide detailed release notes and update the relevant training materials to reflect the changes next week. In the meantime, below is an overview of the key changes for the CIR suite. Please note that details about the various changes will only be communicated to the relevant groups. Core CIR Enhancements: There are a number of key usability enhancements which will support frontline users working at vaccination sites, these include: • Special Assistance: An addition to display Special Assistance requirements on Today’s Booking’s, when checking someone in and against the Immunisation Case. • Provider, Facility, Site: When logging in, the Provider Organisation, Facilities and Sites that can be viewed and selected, will be limited to only those that a user has been associated with. • Early Vaccine Warning: Addition of the Early Vaccine Warning to Reception Arrival and Complete Activities steps which displays when second Immunisation Event is within 21 days of the first Immunisation Event. Furthermore, enhancements to the warning to make it more prominent to users. • Active Monitoring Consent: Changes have been made to support future functionality for consumer active monitoring. • Other Usability Enhancements: o Update to allow multiple individuals (up to 10) to be departed from the Observation Area at the same time. A warning must be acknowledged by the CIR user before the departure takes place. o Addition of help text to the Medically Fit fields when completing the Vaccination Activity. o Addition of help text to Antigen Batch Number field and set the minimum character length for entry at 10 characters e.g. The Antigen batch and Sub-batch number is found on the box, for example EP4568-018 or EP4568-D018. • Bookings Enhancements: o Updates to multiple fields and buttons related to vaccination bookings and the check in processes to enhance usability and user experience. o Update to limit the booking results displayed to 5000 results under Today’s Bookings when the ‘Booking Start – Booking End’ filter is applied. o Addition to allow bookings to be correctly matched to a Person Profile when the booking has previously been matched to the incorrect Person Profile. CICS Enhancements: There are a number of key usability enhancements which will support CICS users, these include: • Special Assistance: o Update to the Bookings section to display alert text, special assistance requirements and add notes when special assistance is required.
