DHB Covid Vaccination Support
7/10/2021
Hi all – as we head into the home straight of the COVID vaccination rollout here’s a wrap up of DHB support available to you – whether you’re already involved directly or supporting in another way.
Help and resourcing available for you Free – promotion, events advice and support If you’re already vaccinating, there is an array of resources (free of charge) available to you. You may have already these through the Ministry of Health ordering portal eg tear drop flag, posters etc. While these resources are helpful we’re aware many of you are keen to develop specific vaccination events or initiatives and the DHB is very keen to support you. This support ranges from event advice and set eg BBQs, table, marquee hire to incentives eg prize sponsorship, vouchers/assistance to assist those where cost of travelling to a vaccination centre is barrier. •
We’ve developed a simple form (attached) for you to complete and send back to the vaccination rollout team. All you need to do is provide a brief descriptor of your initiative or event and what you need support with.
We know innovative approaches are the key to get further vaccination uptake so we encourage you to ask for whatever support you need to assist you and the communities you serve. Our aim is to ensure you have access to a range of skills and material to tap into at any time no matter how you’re set up – things can be completely customised for you!
Focus on vaccine hesitant You’ll be aware vaccine hesitancy is still an issue, however getting advice from a trusted health professional can have a significant positive impact in changing minds. We realise doing this work takes time and money, often within already constrained environments. In order to help the DHB is offering the following support:
•
