FRONTLINE STAFF TRAINING De-escalating Stressful Situations with Upset Patients This workshop will cover: How to spot that a situation may be about to escalate. How do you respond early to avoid unnecessary escalation? The importance of empathetic listening and how to do it well. What does it really take for a patient to feel heard and understood?

How can you create safe boundaries while ensuring the patient feels in control? Simple techniques for ensuring your communication is clear and effective. How can you make it easy for the patient to hear you when they are already stressed? Physical techniques for creating a calm and safe environment in stressful situations.

Participants will leave with a range of practical tools and techniques they can easily implement in their workplace.
