CitC Updates: Positive RAT Result to Inbox of Enrolled GP: Currently, General Practices (GPs) have been receiving positive PCR test results to their PMS systems for their enrolled patients. General practices will soon start receiving positive RAT results for their enrolled patients. This is aligned to the strong desire from GPs for PMS messaging to be extended to RATs. This functionality will begin from tonight. Further details are attached. The current ‘Community COVID Case Information’ (CCCI) notification of a COVID case creation sent to GPs from the National Contact Tracing System (NCTS) will remain in place until further notice. Any updates regarding the ongoing use and purpose of the CCCI notification will be shared as it becomes available. Please note, the positive RAT result will be sent to the GP based on data available in the National Enrolment System (NES). If a specific practitioner is linked to the patient in the NES, the message will go directly to their inbox. Otherwise, the message will appear in the general practice inbox. This is the same process for the CCCI notification. NES can be updated by your practice manager to link a patient to a specific practitioner, via standard enrolment updates. Please refer to the attached ‘Positive RAT Results to Inbox of Enrolled GP’ for an example of how this will appear in certain GP inboxes. Targeted Rural Service Update To support the Ministry’s national goal for 90% of New Zealanders to have access to a collection site within a 20-minute drive, the Targeted Rural Service has been established to enable households that sit outside the 20-minute radius from a collection site (approximately 4% of households) access to RATs. The intention of the Targeted Rural Service model is to supplement the nuanced approaches which DHBs are already taking to ensure access for rural/remote populations and to provide a connection point to those nuanced approaches and a service for the remaining gaps in rural areas. Now, where New Zealanders place an order through the RAT Requestor system, the largely rural households can contact 0800 222 478 to confirm their eligibility for the Targeted Rural Service. If eligible, a local provider will work with the household to supply RATs from the public health response through systems established by DHBs and community providers, or via local rural delivery networks. For any questions about the Targeted Rural Service, households can contact the assisted channel at 0800 222 478. Other Reminders: Automated Record Removal from the CCCM: In preparation for automated case closure functionality to go live and as the clearing of backlog cases continues, this is an important reminder that CCCM records on the Self-Management Care Plan will be removed from the CCCM once their predicted isolation date has been reached. To keep a CCCM record open and editable beyond the predicted isolation end date Health Providers
