Kia ora koutou, As many of you will be aware, the focus over the last week from our technology teams has been on system performance and a smaller number of high priority enhancements as Hubs scale with higher numbers of cases. Please find below a high level summary of key enhancements currently scheduled to go live in the system this week. Detailed release notes and training materials will be circulated when we communicate these changes later this week. Functionality targeting for release this week, with most updates currently scheduled to go live the evening of, Wednesday 9 March (visible Thursday 10 March): •

Change to positive text notification to Cases Wording to the positive text notification sent to Cases is being amended to encourage more people to engage with the COVID-19 Contact Tracing Form and available supports. We will circulate the confirmed wording later this week with the Release Notes.

Self-serve positive case contact tracing reminder text message SMS reminders will be sent to positive cases who have not completed their initial assessment either by self-serve contact tracing form or phone at 12, 24 and 48 hours after their initial SMS to encourage the completion of the case self-serve contact tracing form.

Risk Score for call prioritisation A population-based risk stratification tool (the Risk Score for Call Prioritisation, or, Risk Score for short) will help to identify who needs to be prioritised for contact for the first assessment which determines whether their COVID-19 care needs to be supported with active care management or the self-service pathway. This tool uses age, ethnicity and vaccination status data to inform risk of hospitalisation due to COVID-19. This tool will support Care Coordination Hubs by prioritising outreach from the hub to those wo have not responded to the initial text outreach to indicate that they are positive for COVID-19.

Disease Contacts no longer created in CCCM from NCTS An update has been made so that Disease Contact records are no longer created in CCCM. This means that only Case records from NCTS will automatically create a record in CCCM.

Automatic NCTS case closure

To reduce the manual effort required to close NCTS Cases during a large outbreak, the following automations are being put into the system: • Automatically closing Case Follow-Up when the predicted isolation end date has been reached. • Automatically moving a COVID Contact Tracing Case through the pathway to the ‘Closed’ status. • For those in Self-Management this will automatically close the Border Health Record. For those in Active Management the Border Health Record will remain open and will be updated. •

Automatic DC Closure when DC becomes a Case
