Launching BCMS Profiles from PMS New functionality will integrate BCMS so that it can be opened within a Health Providers PMS. 1.

Open the person’s profile in the PMS Click on the HealthLink forms icon.

Click on the Border Clinical Management System link.

If the person has an active BCMS record, this link will open that person’s record. Health Providers will then be able to navigate their BCMS information from within this page.

When “complete session” is pressed, it will write a PDF of what has been done in BCMS up until this point. This PDF will go to the Health Providers Patient Record Outbox.

Tip: Screen shots are MedTech 32 – but any PMS with healthlink forms access will work - to enable this healthlink needs to link your eDI to this form

Navigating BCMS (the basics)

The Summary screen of the person will be auto loaded.

This screen depicts the summary of notes & vital signs recorded through health checks which have already been completed.

At the very top of the BCMS summary screen you will see the Patient Banner which shows: 1. Where there care is allocated to 2. Name of Patient 3. Patient Age 4. Flags raised about patient 5. Day # of isolation 6. Date next test due 7. Acuity Score 8. Current whiteboard note Tip: Hovering over any of the icons will return more information

Viewing the Summary Select Note Timeline. This will enable you to view all Patient notes recorded.

2. By selecting the note icon, you can then add a note.

3. For notes you can filter down to type of note by clicking one of the following buttons: • All • Initial Assessment • Reg H check • Whiteboard • Clinical • Ad Vitals • Flag Management • Generic • Task 4. To return to Vital Summary chart you need to select Vital Timeline.

This shows the BCMS person information screen showing all information related to a specific person and their bubble 1.

You can also get an overview of a person by clicking on the Summary page Name Age & gender Flags i.e. Mental Health Issues, Require Welfare. Pregnant Next test (coloured dot outlines latest result – black = negative, red = positive, orange = repeat needed) A red tick means they have COVID-19 Symptoms on their Health Check – the Done button indicates the test has been done today.

This shows how many people are in the bubble – the relative number stays constant and the grey highlight shows which record you are in currently

Use the scroll bar at the bottom right of screen Tip: As this writes back to the patient record, you are unable to navigate to the next bubble member from here – but open them in the PMS

Adding a Whiteboard Note 1

This allows you to leave a note that is easily visible to dashboard users.

Select the whiteboard icon. This icon will enable you to write a whiteboard note which will be instantly visible to anyone reviewing the patient record.

Common Errors Below outlines some common errors you MAY encounter: 1.

Tip: These errors may happen because the native bowser is internet explorer and BCMS should be used in a Chrome browser.

How to view the summary level PDF This outlines how to view a PDF of a patient's summary. GPs can access this information via PMS as shown below by selecting document required.

You will be able to launch ePrescriptions

Tip: Allows you to ePrescribe at any pharmacy in the country

Launching HealthOne & ERMS from BCMS 1.

You will be able to launch HealthOne from a person’s profile in BCMS to Access their clinical history via your Health Connect South login.

You will be able to open the ERMS referral portal from the Clinical Encounter tab so that you are able to refer them to the appropriate services.
