Please fill out an attendance card (they are located in the pew racks) and place it in the collection plate when it is passed. Roughly 400 years . . . that is the timeframe between the last prophet of the Old Testament, Malachi, and the New Testament. I cannot help but compare this period of silence to the times in my life when I have prayed for God to do something and expected results within minutes . . . not within generations. I am regretful when I did not sit back and give God the margin of time needed for Him to work in my life. It is in these times that I realize I must sell my desire for control in order to create margin for my Faith. Our question for this series is rather simple: “What must we sell so that we can create margin for God to move in our life?” The margin of time between Malachi’s words to Israel and the birth of Jesus is a testament that our timing is not the same as God’s timing. I am excited for this series and have been since God laid it on my heart months ago. Throughout this series, I ask that you join me in prayer. So that we might find ourselves with necessary margin, pray that God will impress on us the things we need to “sell.” Pray that as we create additional margin, that the Holy Spirit will reveal himself in mighty ways.
