Welcome to West End Church of Christ, a restoration church founded in 1929. Each Sunday morning, our family opens its doors to be reminded that our value of Jesus is derived from the value of our brokenness. We are a broken people living in a broken world in need of a Savior.

Our vision: A Place To Belong We believe everyone, no matter their background, is created to belong to the kingdom of God.

Our values: diversity embracing unique differences and experiences strengthens our family

generational roots discipleship that builds on our past and for the sustainable future

grace in love how we treat one another especially in times of disagreement and conflict

personal bible study ownership through study and prayer of our own individual spiritual growth

Thank you for joining our family and know that there is a place for you here. Please let me know if I can help you in any way.

COMMUNION DELIVERY

March March March March

6 – Neal Allison 13 – Jim Baker 20 – Kris Thurman 27 – Wes Bender

A Note of Greetings to the West End Family: During a recent visit to the home of Maxwell and Jo Ann Horkins, they expressed a desire to send greetings to their brothers and sisters at West End. Due to health issues they have been unable to attend services. They are so grateful for visits to share in communion, prayer, and a time to reminisce of their years at West End. Prayer was requested to give thanks for the blessing of their strong faith, and the renewal of their commitment to serve the Lord in their limited capacity at this time. Please pray for Max and Jo Ann. Our church is blessed to have a Visitation Team that meets the third Tuesday of each month. Jan Welden and Kris Thurman currently serve as the leads for this team. Each month, the team gathers to pray over the needs and concerns of our church family. Individual cards (similar to those outlined on this page) are distributed to ensure a visit or a note of encouragement is received from someone on the team. An open invitation is extended to anyone who would like to serve on the visitation team. This is a group exemplifying our church value of grace in love. You can e-mail Jan or Kris for more details.

Inside Out p5, fruits fully expressed Galatians 3:10-14 As we draw our current series to a close, consider this everyday checklist as you seek to fully express the fruits of the Spirit with your EGRs. This checklist is derived from Paul’s interaction with Peter in Galatians 2:11-21. 1. Check your motive. Your goal should be to encourage. 2. Make sure the issue you have is worthy of the concern you have. 3. Be specific when you express your feelings. Clearly name the problem. 4. Don’t undermine a person’s self-confidence or identity. They should know you value you them at some level. 5. Don’t compare people. Someone always loses. 6. Be creative and leave the space to think differently. 7. Don’t attack the person. Always seek to critique the problem, not the person. 8. Don’t let it fester. Is the issue is big and clear, act. 9. Look at yourself looking at others. 10. Start with encouragement and end there as well. Next week we will start a new series, “Evolution of the Call.” We will take a close look at Biblical characters of both the Old and New Testament. Looking at case studies of when individuals were called by God will reveal that mediums change, but the voice remains constant.
