Welcome to West End Church of Christ, a restoration church founded in 1929. Each Sunday morning, our family opens its doors to be reminded that our value of Jesus is derived from the value of our brokenness. We are a broken people living in a broken world in need of a Savior.
Our vision: A Place To Belong We believe everyone, no matter their background, is created to belong to the kingdom of God.
Our values: diversity embracing unique differences and experiences strengthens our family
generational roots discipleship that builds on our past and for the sustainable future
grace in love how we treat one another especially in times of disagreement and conflict
personal bible study ownership through study and prayer of our own individual spiritual growth
Thank you for joining our family and know that there is a place for you here. Please let me know if I can help you in any way.

COMMUNION DELIVERY March 13 – Jim Baker March 20 – Kris Thurman March 27 – Wes Bender
We express our sympathy to John & Betty Mansfield and their family in the passing of John’s mother, Janie Mansfield. Her funeral was Saturday in Glasgow, KY. We also express our sympathy to Sally Walker and her family in the passing of her daughter, Travis, this past Thursday. A private family memorial will be held. Sally’s address is 1709 Gale Ln., Nashville, TN 37212. Dear West End Church Family, I appreciate so much the many acts of kindness that you have shown me during the last few weeks. Your prayers, cards and calls have really lifted my spirits and helped make my recovery easier. We think of you often and have many happy memories of the years we worshipped with you. Please continue to remember me as I heal from surgery and prepare for the treatment which is to come. ---Jackie Hill Our church is blessed to have a Visitation Team that meets the third Tuesday of each month. Jan Welden and Kris Thurman currently serve as the leads for this team. Each month, the team gathers to pray over the needs and concerns of our church family. Individual cards (similar to those outlined on this page) are distributed to ensure a visit or a note of encouragement is received from someone on the team. An open invitation is extended to anyone who would like to serve on the visitation team. This is a group exemplifying our church value of grace in love. You can e-mail Jan or Kris for more details.
Evolution of the Call, p1 Hebrews 1:1-4 Here’s the simple premise of the series we launch today: You are called. I’m not sure how that resonates with you, if it generates enthusiasm or perhaps makes you a bit nervous. In today’s world, a calling on one’s life is often synonymous with a complete life change. . . something to the degree of selling everything and moving to a third world country. This simple premise naturally leads to one simple question, “will I have to change everything if I accept the call?” Here’s the not-so-simple answer: maybe. One thing is clear throughout all of scripture, the call of God is a call to relationship. A deeper, more meaningful relationship with God is a calling that in turn creates stronger relationship with self, others and the rest of creation. We have a high calling to embrace . . . glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. It’s the ultimate reason for which we were created. We were created to serve and give praise to our Creator through our thoughts, words and actions. When we do this, we experience the presence of God as our heavenly Father and live in a joyful, intimate relationship with Him and His children. This is the clear and compelling call of God. As we begin this new series, I encourage us to pray for increased perspective. Pray for a greater understanding of our church and our community. God is calling and we want to be a church that accepts. May His Spirit be among us this morning. Thanks for being here.
