Welcome to West End Church of Christ, a restoration church founded in 1929. Each Sunday morning, our family opens its doors to be reminded that our value of Jesus is derived from the value of our brokenness. We are a broken people living in a broken world in need of a Savior.

Our vision: A Place To Belong We believe everyone, no matter their background, is created to belong to the kingdom of God.

Our values: diversity embracing unique differences and experiences strengthens our family

generational roots discipleship that builds on our past and for the sustainable future

grace in love how we treat one another especially in times of disagreement and conflict

personal bible study ownership through study and prayer of our own individual spiritual growth

Thank you for joining our family and know that there is a place for you here. Please let me know if I can help you in any way.

COMMUNION DELIVERY November 29 – Neal Allison

Our church is blessed to have a Visitation Team that meets the third Tuesday of each month. Jan Welden and Kris Thurman currently serve as the leads for this team. Each month, the team gathers to pray over the needs and concerns of our church family. Individual cards (similar to those outlined on this page) are distributed to ensure a visit or a note of encouragement is received from someone on the team. An open invitation is extended to anyone who would like to serve on the visitation team. This is a group exemplifying our church value of grace in love. You can e-mail Jan or Kris for more details.

a place to belong p5 Ephesians 3:1-13 Welcome to West End Church of Christ. If you are visiting with us, I hope you will take some time to read our vision and values on the front of this bulletin. We are a body of Christian believers connected to one another through this local church. By connecting to one another in membership, we continue to express and strengthen our place of belonging to the kingdom of God through Christ. We have been studying Ephesians during this series and it has been wonderful to be a part of what the Spirit is doing in the life of this church and the individuals (members and guests) attending each week. Last week, we took a close look at Ephesians chapter 2. Paul provides some tools for his readers to catch a glimpse of God’s redemptive vision for both Jews and Gentiles. He informs them they are saved by grace (Eph 2:8-9) and created to do good works (2:10). Then he equips them for these good works with divine tools, explaining how they have been delivered from darkness and transformed into new persons (2:14-16) and a new building (2:19-22). Paul labored hard to unleash the church and prepare its members for service. In chapter 3, Paul begins to transition from casting a great vision of the future to giving his readers an understanding of what that vision means for church life in the present. As we begin to study the second half of this letter to the church in Ephesus, I invite us to embrace a quote many of us heard at the InterFaith service last week:

The informational does not transformational until it is relational

become

We are thankful you are here this morning. May the Holy Spirit guide our time together. May we leave strengthened because of the relational nature of the God we serve. Our church survey will close on December 3rd. www.westendcoc.org/survey
