Welcome to West End Church of Christ, a restoration church founded in 1929. Each Sunday morning, our family opens its doors to be reminded that our value of Jesus is derived from the value of our brokenness. We are a broken people living in a broken world in need of a Savior.

Our vision: A Place To Belong We believe everyone, no matter their background, is created to belong to the kingdom of God.

Our values: diversity embracing unique differences and experiences strengthens our family

generational roots discipleship that builds on our past and for the sustainable future

grace in love how we treat one another especially in times of disagreement and conflict

personal bible study ownership through study and prayer of our own individual spiritual growth

Thank you for joining our family and know that there is a place for you here. Please let me know if I can help you in any way.

We have an attended Nursery every Sunday morning during Bible class and worship. The Nursery is located down the hallway from the Auditorium. Sign-up sheets are posted on the Nursery door for those interested in volunteering or you may contact Lauren Smith at laurencsmith29@gmail.com SUNDAY AM NURSERY ATTENDANTS – November 15 – Leanne Hayes, Harriette Shivers

HELPING THOSE IN NEED Our church is reaching beyond just our attenders for the Sunday morning gathering. We are often uniquely positioned to be a part of helping others when they are in need. Our value of grace in love drives our participation We have been concerned about the plight of refugees entering Europe and being served by some of the congregations there. We are delighted to inform you that, as a result of your generous giving for the 2015 missions program, a gift of $5000 is being sent to Partners in Progress to assist in serving the refugee population. May the Lord bless our gift.

COMMUNION DELIVERY November 15 – Kris Thurman 22 – Chuck Whittle 29 – Neal Allison

Our church is blessed to have a Visitation Team that meets the third Tuesday of each month. Jan Welden and Kris Thurman currently serve as the leads for this team. Each month, the team gathers to pray over the needs and concerns of our church family. Individual cards (similar to those outlined on this page) are distributed to ensure a visit or a note of encouragement is received from someone on the team. An open invitation is extended to anyone who would like to serve on the visitation team. This is a group exemplifying our church value of grace in love. You can e-mail Jan or Kris for more details.

a place to belong p3 Ephesians 2:1-10 If you are visiting with us, you are our honored guest. We appreciate you being here to join us for a message about Jesus. It is a great time to connect with our body of believers at West End. We are in a series titled, “a place to belong,” wherein we are studying Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus and introducing refreshed vision and values for our church family. The last two weeks we have framed the book of Ephesians around vision. Vision can be defined in a variety of ways. For our church, we have claimed great vision as a glimpse of the future causing us to act differently in the present. The first half of Ephesians outlines the most incredible Vision of all time: God’s redemptive plan through Jesus Christ The second half of Ephesians outlines what we do in the present after catching a glimpse of this vision: church life in God’s redemptive plan In your personal study this week, here are some additional passages to consider. Colossians 3:1-13 :: your perspective is renewed in the present Galatians 2:20 :: your past is released in the present Ephesians 1:3-12 :: your purpose is revealed in the present You have a place to belong in the kingdom of God through Christ.
