Yard Sale part 3: “Test Me” For the past several weeks we have been examining God to see how He wishes for our lives to be lived. All cluttered up with us and our things or more empty permitting Him and His spirit to work His work in us? When Jesus was in His ministry there was a similar incident to that in which we are experiencing. The question was asked about eternal life in Matthew 19:16 and Jesus responded to obey the commandments. The man responded he had done this from his youth up. Then Jesus said, “go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” It would appear margin was needed. Since Malachi has been our frame of reference in this study and today Chapter 3 specifically. God simply says, in v. 10 “Test me in this.” Ouch! God do you have to be so plain and simple? Today will be a day in which we stand before Him and He asks us to “test” or “trust” Him. It will be an interesting day.
