Welcome to West End Church of Christ, a restoration church founded in 1929. Each Sunday morning, our family opens its doors to be reminded that our value of Jesus is derived from the value of our brokenness. We are a broken people living in a broken world in need of a Savior.
Our vision: A Place To Belong We believe everyone, no matter their background, is created to belong to the kingdom of God.
Our values: diversity embracing unique differences and experiences strengthens our family
generational roots discipleship that builds on our past and for the sustainable future
grace in love how we treat one another especially in times of disagreement and conflict
personal bible study ownership through study and prayer of our own individual spiritual growth
Thank you for joining our family and know that there is a place for you here. Please let me know if I can help you in any way.

Our church is blessed to have a Visitation Team that meets the third Tuesday of each month. Jan Welden and Kris Thurman currently serve as the leads for this team. Each month, the team gathers to pray over the needs and concerns of our church family. Individual cards (similar to those outlined on this page) are distributed to ensure a visit or a note of encouragement is received from someone on the team. An open invitation is extended to anyone who would like to serve on the visitation team. This is a group exemplifying our church value of grace in love. You can e-mail Jan or Kris for more details.
Worship p3: “transformed lives” Psalm 95:1-7 I wish we could all show up one Sunday morning and transport back in time to the early church and join those early believers in worship. I have to believe the experience would be better than any sermon series and would likely change us forever. As we joined with the rest of the believers of that time in devoting ourselves to the apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, to prayer and to praising God (Acts 2:42-47), I think we would say things like, “Wow, listen to how everyone speaks to God! He seems so real to them! Everyone shares in such intimacy, such freedom and such power!” In those few minutes, we would witness a gathering of the first believers who testified that Jesus was, indeed, who He said He is. We would see how the Holy Spirit manifested the intimacy and awesomeness of God’s presence to the believers as they praised and worshipped Him. We would likely say, “I wish I could experience that too.” I believe we can and I believe some of us have. The series we begin to draw to a close is one that points to a heartfelt expression of love, adoration, admiration, fascination, wonder and celebration. It’s something that pushes a transformation in the heart and soul when one begins to praise God for who He is and thank Him for what He has done. Welcome to our gathering this morning. No matter what the last week has looked like for you, may you leave encouraged to worship in all aspects of what this week will bring. We are glad you are here. 6
