FROM THE PRINCIPAL
On behalf of all of the teachers, students and staff at Wayzata High School, I welcome you and your family to our community. Whether you are a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior, we hope you feel embraced, inspired, and encouraged throughout your academic journey.
We will work together with you to fulfill our promise — that each and every one of you will graduate from Wayzata High School prepared for post-secondary success.
Here are some of the things we do to make that happen:
• Provide quality learning experiences across a network of diverse programs in academics, arts, athletics and activities
• Set high expectations for behavior and performance
• Define and measure college readiness skills and traits that are important to post-secondary success
• Provide caring guidance and support
This guide will help you get to know us. It includes a map of the building and ways for families to stay connected. It highlights our people and programs.
It’s always exciting to welcome new students to our high school. Each of you brings fresh energy, new ideas and unique perspectives to our community. We value that. We value you. And we’re always here for you!
Sincerely,
Scott Gengler, Principal Scott.Gengler@wayzataschools.org
